When I worked at Visit Savannah, the city's destination marketing organization, a college student by the name of Francesca Poliseno came to work for me as a video production intern. She has since graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), moved to Brooklyn and worked for the likes of VICE News, PBS, and others, while independently producing narrative and documentary work on the side. It's very rewarding to see someone I once mentored grow to become a peer and even someone I look up to professionally.
