Travis Spangenburg on Theatre, History, & Storytelling | S2 Ep. 24
Tuesday Jun 15, 2021
Tuesday Jun 15, 2021
I first saw Travis Spangenburg dressed as a prohibition enforcement agent while making a video at the American Prohibition Museum for Visit Savannah, my former employer and now client. I later got to know him better while producing an episode of Savannah, Georgia: Anything But Ordinary about prohibition in Savannah, at which point I decided I wanted to know more about Travis Spangenburg, the human being. We had a great time discussing Shakespeare, Storytelling, and Star Wars. Thanks for coming on the show, Travis!

Two days late but worth the wait. I caught Nate (@Bread__Life on Instagram) walking out of the Stables, where the podcast studio lives, on his way to drive across the country. Nate decided to put aside his photography and role in local band Bastardane for a couple of months to go fish. I enjoyed talking with Nate about his motivations, interests, and how to walk the line between living a full life and tortured existence. Excited to hear where he goes next. Give him a follow and take a listen! Learn more at https://creative-truth.com/

Tuesday May 18, 2021

I met Brian randomly through a mutual friend. He was wearing a cool hat. He also stood out to me as a cool person, and mentioned he did graphic design in the real estate industry up in Atlanta. At the time, I totally forgot to mention that I had a podcast featuring creative professionals, so I followed up with Brian on Instagram, and I'm so glad he did! Shaunii Rawls & Really Khalil | S2 Ep. 19
Tuesday May 11, 2021
Tuesday May 11, 2021
I don't remember HOW I started following Savannah filmmaker, consultant, and former Miss Georgia Shaunii (@shaunnirawls) on Instagram, but I do remember enjoying everything she put out there! I cold messaged her about coming on the podcast and she asked if she could bring her boyfriend and musician Really Khalil (@reallykhalil),the subject of many of her videos, with her... so naturally, I turned it into a two-part interview for the pod. Listen to a couple of Really Khalil's tracks (with Shaunii's video accompaniment) and you'll be amazed by the quality of self-produced content coming out of Savannah. I enjoyed talking with these two immensely and I hope you enjoy what they have to say. Stay tuned to the end to listen to a recent track "Supermodel" To learn more go to https://reallykhalil.com/ and https://www.confidencecaptured.com/.

A Conversation With My Former Youth Minister... | S2 Ep. 18
Tuesday May 04, 2021
Tuesday May 04, 2021
This is another irregular episode of the Creative Truth.
Cory Smith is my former youth minister. I met him around 12 years old when I was still forming my beliefs about myself, religion, and the world. We've stayed in touch on and off over the years, and we recently had the time to catch up during his visit to Savannah to talk about some of the hard topics. I'm honored to know Cory and grateful to have him in my life, and even though I recognize that we're both imperfect, his opinion is very valuable to me and still helps shape my worldview to this day.
